What happens if my pool is Not Compliant ?
Don’t be stressed as many pools may not fully comply !
What is VITAL is to make sure that you get inspected ASAP before a drowning occurs..
If your pool is not compliant, we (our and all licensed Inspectors ) will issue a report detailing matters requiring rectification giving a maximum of 60 days to comply. If after a Re-Inspection, the matters have not been rectified, but substantial works have been attended to, we can give you a further 7 days. If substantial works have not occurred or no attempt made to rectify the non-compliance matters, we are required by Law to issue a Non-Compliance Certificate.
Failure to comply may incur an Infringement Notice and fines from your council in accordance with Victorian Building Authority regulations.
If you are concerned your pool or spa may not be compliant, we encourage you to book our Repair Report FIX Service as an initial step before inspection, allowing you time to address/fix any issues in your own time rather than regulatory timelines, while not triggering any additional council imposed fees. Well worth the effort !
Inspection by an EXPRESS engineer may be required as it can affect the ground around it and houses !!
EXPRESS PERMITS have devised a 2 Stage process to reduce your overall costs and chance of penalties (if you follow our advice).
Our fast 2 Stage methods of inspection don’t compromise on quality and help reduce your time wasted, including not requiring access to inside your home where possible*.
